The All Star Game

If the NBA All Star Game were a car, it would be a DeLorean with a nice paint job. A DeLorean is recognizable as a car, but it's not a particularly sound car, just as the ASG is recognizable as a basketball game, but the combined effect of crazy athletic strangers playing together on national TV is to encourage individual spectacle, which, unfortunately, does not necessarily lead to beautiful basketball.

Hope to see individual spectacle arising from beautiful basketball, just like in regular games, but don't expect it.
