Open Gameday Thread at Philadelphia 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers at Charlotte Bobcats, Dec 5, 2009 7:00 PM EST

TV: No local broadcast | Radio: 610 AM
SB Nation 76ers Blog: Liberty Ballers

Paraphrasing a commenter on some web article I can't find anymore: "You know what the worst thing about Philly is? They love Rocky. Love him to death. But the dirty little secret is he was probably the fourth best fighter in his own franchise! Creed and Lang definitely had better careers, and Drago was more dominant at his peak."

Programming Note: The game recap thread will be up later than usual tonight.

What did DJ Augustin do to get in the doghouse?

Flip Murray is curently 0-3 and Augustin hasn’t entered the game.

Oh good… Flip’s 0-5 now.

That means in the last 6 games he’s 10-44

WHAT A WINNER!

time for LB to learn good roster management or to say goodbye

there are plenty of coaches out there who would play the best player regardless of age or years in the league

Absolutely.

DJ is having a sophmore slump, no doubt, but refusing to play him is ridiculous.

we really don't know how much of a slum he's in because he had a 7 min cut per game in his minutes this year

I have to give credit where credit's due.

I’ve been pretty harsh on Raymond Felton in the past, but he’s been lights out recently.

he has been playing well

but he really needs to be a more consistent shooter and scorer

Good win for the Cats.

Boris really showed up tonight.

It would be scary to see all our players play to their potential every night.

Flip Murray is hot garbage.

How did Gerald Henderson look?

his stats were underwhelming. But I guess you can’t expect instant greatness from a rookie who’s been getting massively inconcsistent/nonexistent PT.

Henderson looked rusty… that’s the best word for it. Exactly like you said, he just hasn’t been on court enough lately.

You could tell as soon as he went for his shot that it was a miss.

Boris was a man possessed. It was unbelievable in the post; Brand had no answer for his speed.

Yeah Boris came out of his slump

just after I traded him off my fantasy team. Damn

Yeah I'm glad he got only 3 min tonight

What does LB see in him? Is he a better defender than Gerald the Second?

Not that I can tell.

Gerald seems to be better at getting steals and staying in front of his man.

Someone had it up on JTV... found a link from Philly

Apparantly only a premium channel in Philedelphia had the game on.

You can usually find it on streaming sites online

http://www.atdhe.net or http://www.p2p4u.net or http://www.myp2p.eu

for some of these you’ll have to click live sports and look around for it

Tonight and last night is what I expect and want from Chandler

Stat-wise at least. I was kind of in and out watching the game so I don’t know how he played defensively but it looks like he did well since Dalembert only got 4 pts and 4 rebs and their team only got 30 pts in the paint. Kudos and keep it up. Please.

Honestly...

I stopped watching the game when the Cats were down something like 99-89 in the fourth. I didn’t want to watch another collapse. I checked NBA.com for the final score and I saw the Cats were down by 1. I watched the last 10 secs. or so of the game. This game was ugly, but I am glad the Cats won. Henderson got a little run and Ray Ray is still making pretty good decisions with the rock.

DJ still isn’t playing. Flip hasn’t been holding it down so DJ should get some minutes Nuggets.

can we give Ray some love he has been playing great making great decisions and now his scoring is coming along He single handedly willed the Cats to the Win down the stretch. Im just saying all i hear from this site is Trade Ray Play DJ give props when there Due

I agree

I like the new Ray too. I only wish he’d come earlier. My theory is pod people. I hope someone gets that reference

If that's the case

Then we need to do whatever it takes to get Chandler, Murray, and even Coach Brown to take a nap next to some plants asap!

by Ourdaywillcome on Dec 5, 2009 10:28 PM EST up reply actions

looks Diaw decieded to ball today

Which is great. What’s up with Flip? lol

by Roger, Roger on Dec 5, 2009 10:20 PM EST reply actions

Do you realize that G Henderson and D Brown got a combined 30 minutes tonight?

No wonder this team almost lost the game, you can’t win unless you play your veteran talent over comparable rookie talent.

Whats up fellas..

didn’t get to watch the game tonight…but glad to see that we won…but why didn’t DJ get any playtime??

good to see that Gerald Henderson finally got some much deserved play time…I hope it continues
