Open Gameday Thread at New Jersey Nets

Charlotte Bobcats at New Jersey Nets, Dec 4, 2009 8:00 PM EST

TV: Fox Sports Carolinas | Radio: 610 AM

Large shouldn't have gotten off the plane. He'd gone back to Jersey and completed his unfinished business with his dad and old friends, all in one weekend, which is amazing. Sam's a wonderful girl, but what's still in Jersey for her? This is the 2000s! They can keep in touch easily and she can move to L.A. if they want to be together.

New Jersey is where its at

Lets hope the Cats can pull this one out, however, it might just be a trap game for Charlotte

Wilbon just picked the Nets to win tonight. He also has Charlotte as the 8th seed.

She's an epileptic....

she needs her support system. Tough to move away.

Her epilepsy appears manageable. (And do we know if she really is epileptic, given her flights of fancy and predilection for telling little white lies?) The overall point, though, is that I think it rings hollow that Large’s desire to be with her trumps his general need to start his life anew, which means leaving Jersey far behind.

Who gives up a promising Disney on Ice career because of a flight of fancy? No, she’s a dyed in the wool epileptic, and secretly Large buried his misplaced rage towards his parents during that one weekend home, thus allowing him to accept New Jersey as a place to live permenantly.

Nervous about tonight's game

Sure, 0-18, but the Nets are probably going to go crazy tonight to impress the new coach. That and they have a stretch of games with several lower teams. I also don’t want us to be the first team to lose to them. Games against these sorts of opponents are must win, but they very much are trap games.

You know what's depressing?

Watching how good Brook Lopez is while Augustin hasn’t even made it into the game yet with about five minutes to go in the first half.

Glad to see Gerald Henderson and Derrick Brown getting those well deserved minutes...

STEPHEN GRAHAM…bane of my existence.

seriously I dont understand...he isnt developing anything

whats the point of drafting good as Henderson if you are not gonna use him..its pissing me off…I really think Henderson can contribute big time

Makes me think about ourdaywillcome's post this week....

..about LB’s comments and the surplus of guards on the team. It looks to me like Brown is maybe trying to give Flip and Graham minutes in an effort to showcase their skills in order to maybe trade one of them. However, the way those two are playing, they are only decreasing their trade value (if they ever had any).

Forget developing Henderson and Brown. UTILIZE Henderson and Brown. The best games the ’Cats have played this season were the ones that the rookies got some decent PT. They bring solid D and energy off the bench. And tonight that is much more than Graham and Murray are bringing!

It's ok...

At least Courtney Lee isn’t burning him for a lot of points….OH WAIT.

Seriously, I understand that Coach Brown doesn’t like to play rookies, but this is getting slightly annoying. If the rooks are being productive, then give them playing time I say.

I'm absolutely stunned

I can kind of understand Henderson not getting any minutes, only because Brown hasn’t really given him any up to this point, but why has Derrick Brown not seen any playing time tonight? He has shown that he’s an efficient and energetic player in about 15 minutes or so off the bench. So, does anyone have a clue as to why he hasn’t been in the game? Especially since Diaw has displayed quite a bit of sucktitude tonight.

Because

Larry Brown hates playing rookies that much.

Charlotte's bench so far...

Mohammed, Murray, and Graham a combined 2-13 for 5 points. I don’t think Henderson or Derrick Brown would do any worse than that.

All five starters will have at least 35:00 playing time

So I’m guessing Brown doesn’t want to win tomorrow’s game either.

Thats it. I'm going out drinking

And another brick at the free throw line. The Nets win. Over and out.

Dude, me too

We have this halfway decent hole-in-the-wall place called Benchwarmers where I can sit and get drunk and be surrounded by other drunk people. If I sit here and drink by myself, then I’d be an alcoholic, haha.
