Is Gerald Wallace quitting on the Charlotte Bobcats?N
Yesterday it seemed like Gerald Wallace didn't want to play. As much as I don't want to admit I think he is tired of Charlotte. What do you all think?
I hope it isn't true because in my opinion he is the best player to every play for the Charlotte Bobcats. Do you think Charlotte is going to trade him before the deadline?
Either way thanks for reading this and Go Cats!!!!

I think you are 100%, absolutely, unequivocably wrong
Gerald Wallace was out of the game with serious headaches… a minor annoyance to you or me, but for a man who’s sustained numerous concussions it’s a problem.
Other than missing last night’s game what basis do you have for asserting he’s ‘quitting’?
Leading the NBA in minutes, 2nd in rebounds… these are the hustle stats, these are the never quit stats. There is nothing to indicate in Wallace’s game that he is letting up, stepping back or ‘quitting’.
Furthermore, quitters don’t call out teammates through an inherent desire to win games. They step back and accept the inevidible… players like Marbury in NY quit on his team and Larry Brown benched his ass in a second, why would it be different with Wallace?

Wallace believes in this team
He’s never called out his teammates like this (that I’m aware of) in his tenure with the Bobcats no matter HOW badly they’ve played.
Since the arrival of Jackson, Wallace has played like a man possessed. We didn’t think he could get much better, but he’s taken his game to incredible heights. Small forwards simply don’t devour rebounds the way he has this season.
Now my personal opinion is that the arrival of Jax gave Wallace reason to believe that the Cats Office is serious about making a run deep into the playoffs this season. If we can pick up even an average Power Forward we might just be able to do it too. Wallace knows this is the best chance the Bobcats have had since their inception and he doesn’t want to see it screwed up by a couple of players watching the show instead of picking up a share of the load.

Yes, he's certainly quitting because the doctors wouldn't let him play with another of numerous concussions.
Cheers to your keen observation.

Is SalemBobcatfan19 Quitting on Gerald Wallace?
…is what this FanPost should be titled.

Really? Someone said yes?
The dude goes balls to the wall every play of every game. He is not giving up on the Cats and here’s why:
- I don’t think he doesn’t like Charlotte. I’ve never heard him say a peep about wanting out (except for this story I heard about him yelling at a Taco Bell employee, but that’s a whole other story). This is the place where he really busted out his career. There’s no way he has decided he hates the city that gave him a chance to start for an NBA team.
- If he gives up on us, especially publicly, he will not be desired much by other teams or us → less money. By giving up, teams see that if their team struggles, he’ll give up on them too. His character will take a hit.
- This is early in the effing year. The 6, 7, 8 spots in the east are basically a clusterf*** and we aren’t all of a sudden out of the contention. You think that he doesn’t want to go to the playoffs? If anything, he’s refuses to quit on the Bobcats.

Sorry, don't think Wallace is going to be hurting for money any time soon.
Given the nature of NBA contracts, he’s basically assured a minimum of about $40 mil over the next four years.

True, I smell what you're stepping in
But I mean, should he be signed by another free agent, they are more likely to not spend as much money for a player who might not be fully committed. You get what I’m trying to say? I mean this is all hypothetical, because he’s not giving up.

--Someone should slap Larry Brown and bring him back to reality..

Guys... I'm starting to wonder if he's right...
Wallace only had 29 points and 12 boards tonight…. sigh
It was a nice run while it lasted… but it’s the end of an era. Sad really.

Yeah and those blocks
He wasn’t trying at all. The ball just ran into his hand by accident each time
