I lived in Manhattan for three years, but never made it to the Garden. Craziness, I know.

That is crazy!

Nobody in their right mind would ever live in Manhattan.

Gerald Wallace inactive with a massive headache?

Stephen Graham starting? This could get ugly real fast.

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 7:36 PM EST reply actions

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

NOT STEPHEN GRAHAM, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

I just threw up in mouth a little bit.

I’m hoping Graham gets two quick fouls and LB is forced to use Henderson and Brown.

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 7:41 PM EST up reply actions

I wish I was joking

http://www.rotowire.com/Gerald-Wallace-googid120539-spnba.htm

And it’s already making a turn for the worse: Diaw just picked up his second foul and it looks like Bad Felton may have returned.

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 7:50 PM EST up reply actions

At least he just put D. Brown in

Graham picked up his second

I was hoping for Henderson to get some play but Flip is in…sigh

At least the Panthers will be on shortly...

Oh wait, they pretty much suck…I just threw up in my mouth again.

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 7:58 PM EST up reply actions

massive headache...

or concussion.

Why?

Just watch videos of train wrecks.
That’s what this is liable to be.
With Wallace out and Felton sore?
This is going to be sick.

by Ourdaywillcome on Dec 20, 2009 7:55 PM EST up reply actions

Okay

Has anyone else been watching Wallace on the bench? He looks absolutely fine. Is it just me or is the Indestructable Man sending a message to his teammates?

by Ourdaywillcome on Dec 20, 2009 7:59 PM EST reply actions

Didn't he basically call out the big men?

I think I saw or heard something about him criticizing the big men on the team but I can’t remember where I saw or heard that.

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 8:01 PM EST up reply actions

I didn't catch the specifics

but apparently after the loss last night, Wallace said something about the lack of energy on the part of the other forwards. It’s LONG overdue imo.

No sweat man

We’ll just run that damned alleyoop play to Chandler 35 more times.

the part i loved about that shot

was the fact that he had a decent shot 3 feet from the basket, but felt the 18ft fadaway was a better option…solid

by rtgunn on Dec 20, 2009 8:10 PM EST up reply actions

I still don't uderstand why is out there at the moment?

As an aside, he’s way ahead of his average 1-8 shooting with a 2-5 performance thusfar.

Thank God NY is sucking so badly

Or we’d already be down by 20.

BTW, Spongetech is apparently tossing some money at the Nicks too. The name is all over MSG

Seriously

with as many 3’s as they’re taking they’ll eventually shoot themselves out of the game

Ok, we have to be positive

We’re playing against a team that has Jonathan Bender and Eddy Curry on their roster. That can’t be any worse than Diop and Graham, can it?

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 8:15 PM EST reply actions

That's a fanpost unto itself. In hell.

Blogging at Ridiculous Upside, where my terrible writing meets people's eyes.

by Aisander D on Dec 20, 2009 8:15 PM EST up reply actions

I like the Bender signing

very low risk move…he either sits on the bench or he contributes

but eddy curry….yeah

by rtgunn on Dec 20, 2009 8:16 PM EST up reply actions

I don't like either...

they could have pulled two solid D-Leaguers in for a cool million and not had to deal the buffett pricetag.

Blogging at Ridiculous Upside, where my terrible writing meets people's eyes.

by Aisander D on Dec 20, 2009 8:18 PM EST up reply actions

I understand that

But I was sure he retired from the NBA like 5 or 6 years ago. And, to be completely honest, I didn’t even know Eddy Curry was still in the NBA until a couple weeks ago.

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 9:26 PM EST up reply actions

He didn't.

He was waived in summer ’06, and has been rehabbing/working on his game since.

Hmm

Flip looks to be trying to justify his next month’s paychecks by having a good night tonight.
That’s the key! Murray doesn’t suck, he just sucks on nights when WALLACE plays!

by Ourdaywillcome on Dec 20, 2009 8:15 PM EST reply actions

lol @ Martin!

“Great play by the freshman… I mean the rookie”

by Ourdaywillcome on Dec 20, 2009 8:23 PM EST reply actions

I hope everyone else just saw that...

Felton passes to Chandler, ball hits Chandler in the arm, Chandler’s head snaps back like he was in a car crash.

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 8:25 PM EST reply actions

can we

just take Chandler out back and shoot him? Just be like “he’s missing”. Then sign someone from the D-league who’s 7ft and can at least catch the ball?

Gerald Wallace out with a headache

Doesnt sound like the badass we all know, love, and vote for allstar daily. I guess you can get burnt out playing 40 something minutes a night and not getting any help from his teammates. Im pretty sure Diaw has surpassed Chandler as the most worthless starter/player for the amount of money he gets paid.

by MR. MANN on Dec 20, 2009 9:01 PM EST reply actions

I’m afraid Wallace is getting into Troy Aikman territory

Diaw’s first shot of the game comes with 10:00 and change left in the 3rd quarter. Wow.

what the heck is with the dude constantly being in foul trouble? whys he slummin it latly?

Gerald Henderson 0-3 in 11 mins. That's it, bench that rookie for the rest of the season.

If anyone should be missing those shots it should be Stephen Graham.

Can someone stay in Gallinari's face?

I mean, he only leads the entire league in three-point field goals made this year.

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 9:52 PM EST reply actions   1 recs

REC!

question though is whats with diaw i havnt watched the games live latly but wtf

by These Refs Suck on Dec 20, 2009 9:53 PM EST up reply actions

No idea

It looks like he plays hard when he feels like it, and that is happening less and less frequently. For example, in last night’s game Diaw scored 8 points in the first quarter and then none the rest of the game. Also, Jackson’s skillset is very similar to Diaw’s so Diaw is left on the court just kind of wandering around, looking like he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to be doing now.

by Stevarino on Dec 20, 2009 9:57 PM EST up reply actions

the sjax aqusition for char was bad....

.diaw is alot like him…s jax will ruin the cats… trade ya guys travis outlaw for diaw?

I’m not sure Diaw can play basketball anymore.

Lets Go Cats!!!

Its entertaining to see Augustin and Henderson in key minutes. Also, Brown has earned more minutes for the future.

sigh...frustrating.

Hopefully this team will realize how much they need Wallace and Jackson and do their parts from now on. Like Jackson said, they are blessed to be playing and some players dont care.

And have him drive the lane where the Knicks are standing there waiting to block the shot

I’m sure that play wasn’t designed for him, just a bad basketball decision all the way around.
