Could we get anybody in 2010?

Hello fellow Bobcat fans. Had a thought and wanted some expert advice from you fine fellows. I was wondering if there was anyway any of the big free agents, and some not so big, would come to Charlotte? I know we probally dont have room under the cap and Charlotte wouldnt seem like a primer destination but what if........

With so many big names floating around could it be possible if we traded away some folks and freed up the moolah to sign one of the big names and rebuild the team around him or get some decent players as pieces.

It might be wishful thinking but I know all of you will give me a honest answer at who it could be, how it would work, and if its possible. Heres a list of people who are gonna or could be free agents.

Star-divide

       Guards

Mike Bibby - Atlanta......Ray Allen - Boston......Devean George - Golden State......Tracy McGrady - Houston......TJ Ford - Indy......Dereck Fisher - Lakers......Allen Iverson - Memphis.....Chris Quinn - Miami.....Dwayne Wade - Miami......Quentin Richardson - Miami.......Jodie Meeks - Milwaukee......Michael Redd - Milwaukee.....Rafer Alston - Nets.......Chris Duhon - Knicks.....Steve Nash - Phoenix......Mano Ginobili - Spurs

      Forwards and Centers

Jerome James - Chicago........Brad Miller - Chicago.......LeBron James - Cleveland.......Shaq - Cleveland.....Drew Gooden - Dallas.......Shawn Marion - Dallas.........Dirk Nowitzki - Dallas........Tim Thomas - Dallas.......Chris Anderson - Denver........Kenyon Martin - Denver........Kwame Brown - Detroit.......Ben Wallace - Detriot........Yao Ming - Hoston.......Luis Scola - Houston........Marcus Camby - Clippers.......Josh Powell - Lakers.......Joel Anthony - Miami......Udonis Haslem - Miami......Jamaal Maglorie - Miami......Jermaine O'Neal - Miami........Hakim Warrick - Bucks.......Kurt Thomas - Bucks......Mark Blount - Minnesota.......Eddy Curry - Knicks.......Al Harrington - Knicks......David Lee - Knicks......Darko Milicic - Knicks.......Etan Thomas - Thunder.....Primoz Brezec - 76ers.....Amare Stodemire  - Phoenix.......Michael Finley - Spurs......Theo Ratliff - Spurs.......Chris Bosh - Toronto.......Hedo Turkoglu - Toronto.......Carlos Boozer - Utah

So what do all of you think? Are any of these guys possible future Bobcats? With all the big men out there could we land a premire forward or center? Let me know what you think........

Eddy Curry is actually really good espescially as a scorer

when he isn’t bitching or moaning about something or hurt

Gerald Wallace is the best player the Bobcats will have..... EVER

Eddy Curry has less often been healthy than Sean May.

Remember when the Panthers had a good offensive line? Yeah, me too.

No... we can't and wont get anyone.

We have no cap room and Johnson wont let the team go into luxury. We cannot offer a max level contract to anyone.

Furthermore, how is Turkoglu going to be a free agent? He just signed this past offseason.

Just to clarify a few mistakes in the FA list

It seems like almost everyone signed during the offseason you have listed as a potential FA.

- Chris Anderson
- Hedo Turkoglu
- Mike Bibby
- Jodie Meeks (just got drafted)
- Steve Nash

None of whom will be a free agent due to extensions or rookie contracts.

Come on Aussie use your imagination......

I went to the rotoworld site Procto is always talking about, and it said he was a free agent in 2010. I am probally wrong on that but I dont know how up to date they are. Just wanted to include everybody I could so we could talk about mabey getting some players in Charlotte.
Forget the managment and front office problems and let me know who you think we could use. Thanks Aussie.

Who we could use?

Shoot, anyone! We’re pretty bad right now.

Only players out of the one’s you’ve mentioned that I wouldn’t touch are:

- Allen Iverson
- Kwame Brown
- Eddie Curry
- Darko Milicic
- Primo Brezec

Outside of those guys I’d say sign any of them.

Relying on the internet is fine...

But it’s also good to, you know, actually know things too. And “who we can use” is pretty irrelevant if they’ll never sign here.
