All It Takes To Be Happy Is To Just Be Happy
We all acknowledge there are ups and downs over the course of an 82-game season, and this could certainly be one of those low periods. But one-tenth of the way through, I think it's safe to say we haven't seen any indication of the upside this current roster hinted at before the season. "Miserable" and "despair" are harsh words. However, Bobcats fans were dealt a harsh hand.
Those of us who don't care much for the rigged world of college sports, in which big-moneyed schools inflate their resumes against willing cupcakes for half the season, would normally be able to look to the local pro football team for a little civic pride, but... well, maybe that's not such a good idea right now. Instead, we're left gawking at a team that, incomprehensibly, has the lowest eFG% in the league and the highest turnover percentage.
At times like these, sensible people suppress their feelings and retreat. Follow me...
Here's your assignment for the day: Show us four things that make you especially happy. For me,
1) Cookies. At least once a year, I bust out and bake my super special chocolate mint chocolate chip cookies. The secret is to use Andes mints instead of regular chocolate chips.
2) San Francisco.
3) Ryan Adams.
4) Growing crappy mustaches and making everyone think you've lost your mind.

Blogging at Ridiculous Upside, where my terrible writing meets people's eyes.
I'm fond of your last one.
I had quite the silly beard through about Sunday. Here’s my list:
1. Variety in good music…my Rhapsody station keeps me alive
2. Sleep
3. The internet
4. A good intermural sports program.
Remember when the Panthers had a good offensive line? Yeah, me too.

Why not...
1. A good microbrew beer, preferably something extra hoppy.
2. The sound of rain as I go to sleep
3. Returning to Sydnay- the greatest city in the world (extremely biased)
4. The joys of ripping a particularily bad movie with my wife.

My 4
I’m a bit older than most of you so bear with me. Priorities change over the years. Yours will too.
1. A quiet night talking with my wife – she’s truly the best woman and friend I’ve ever met and I hope that those of you that don’t know what I’m talking about will find out some day.
2. Teaching a kid how to do something in sports and then seeing his or her face when they try it and it makes them a better player.
3. A really, REALLY good rack of ribs – ’nuff said
4. Music and Drums drums and dammit DRUMS! I don’t even wanna know what the body count would have been like in my wake if I didn’t have music to take the edge off and work the frustrations out. Add into this the experience of actually hearing a song I wrote on the radio or seeing a crowd of people sing along to my tunes. It never gets old.
Nah, not even Neil Cubic Zirconium
I’m a dude from Beantown that wrote some stuff, played some stuff, and did session work for people that sold some tunes and got some airplay.
I can’t even afford Neil Diamonds hair implants, but that’s okay. He doesn’t have anything near my drumming and writing skills.
Thanks for the laugh Aisander, I needed it!

Respect on the 'stache btw
I feel ya on the ’stache. People will look at you, criticize it, and call you unseemly things.
Keep fighting the good fight though. I know the feeling.
'stache respect
Hey, if nothing else it’s good for dusting off the munchies before they get eaten. It makes the “5 second rule” good for another couple of seconds at least!

2) Good comedy- Always Sunny is a favorite, 30 Rock, chappelle show, The Office (more so in earlier seasons), Big Lebowski, etc

I’m aware of Blackalicious. Can’t say I’m familiar with their stuff. I was more of a Green Day teenager than a Dr. Dre teenager, if you know what I mean.

I can understand. Being aware of them is more than most people I know can say though. “Make you feel that way” is a smooth song and “Passion” would be an awesome pump up song in my opinion.
