Do Not Dwell on That Which You Cannot Change
I'm not ready to attribute last night's unsightly 88-74 loss entirely to lack of Gerald Wallace. But no Crash and no rebounding make David something something.
The Bobcats actually played the Blazers evenly through the final three quarters; the first quarter was such a disaster that they could never quite recover, and Portland seemed to be coasting, to boot.
There isn't much use dwelling on this one game, because they've got to play at altitude the next two games, in Denver and in Utah, on Friday and then Monday, both without Wallace. The pattern's been set. Let's see if they can manage better than a 45-26 rebounding margin in either game. If not, then the org's plan to mortgage the future to make the playoffs this year will look in danger of being for naught.

For those of you who stayed up to watch the past two game, thank you. If you dropped by to chat here, thank you for your support. These are the times that test fans' resolve: a long, difficult, road trip, most of which is played without the team's best player.

Juwan Howard
has played pretty well in the games that I’ve watched. He seems like a pretty good pickup.
I thought starting Morrison was a bad idea since he doesn’t play defense.

I really wish the Nuggets would have kept him around instead of cutting him to make room for McDyess who never wanted to play here in Denver.
I bet he wants some payback tomorrow night … shit.

The Bobcats are playing Utah and Denver next?
I’m looking for two great wins over the oxygen-deprived Jazz and Nuggets to help the Blazers inch closer to the Northwest Division lead. Go Bobcats!
If the Cats beating the Jazz and Nuggs is what it takes
to get the Blazers to the top of the NW Division, then I hope to see the blazers at the top!
Utah is going to be tough…even without Boozer, they have Milsap who has just been tearing it up. Of coarse Williams is always a threat too. Okur can also provide some matchup problems with his shooting touch. Im thinking that the cats will be better sticking Okafor on Milsap for post D while letting either Diaw or Howard guard Okur since they can be more active on D out on the perimeter. Plus it lets Okie stay in the paint to help clear the boards.
In Denver, we may be seeing the return of Anthony…ugh why do stars always decide to return from injury against the teams I cheer for?? If he is back, itll be tough since we dont have wallace to provide some D on him. I think our bigs can hold their own against Nene and Martin, but with Billups in town and Anthony back, its going to be a touch night as well.
Of coarse the biggest challenge of them all is putting the ball in the basket. I would like to see Shannon Brown pick up his consistency, and the Cats need to look for Okafor a lot more when he gets deep position. It would be even better if we could get more than 4 points out of Morrison on any given night. Oh well, I guess we’ll see how it goes. If we want playoffs, then we have to find a way to win!
Utah is struggling
so you’re catching them at a good time. The Nugs might find Anthony’s return as disruptive as it is helpful.
Good matchup plan on Milsap and Okur. I’ll be interested to see if that’s how your team plays them.
You have to be happy if the Bobcats get even one of these two games. Good luck!
Oh yeah — outstanding win in LA! Too bad about Wallace. I liked him on the Kings, but he just wasn’t going to get much PT there behind Peja and Hedo. He’s done well for himself in Charlotte.
